Top 5 things to look for in a laptop backpack

Here are our top 5 things to look for when shopping for an ergonomic backpack:

1. Weight (you should keep the whole load 10-15% of your body weight, so don’t use up more than 1-2 lb with the backpack alone)

2.  Strap width/pad- look for wide padded straps that won’t cut into your shoulders and will distribute weight evenly

3.  Strap spacing - depending on your build, check the width to make sure they don’t cut into your neck or slide off your shoulders

4. Distribution of load - make sure the laptop compartment is the part closest to your back - the heavier items should be closer to your body

5. Back support/padding - look for padding or contoured support for your lower back - this is not a deal breaker, but a definite nice to have.

Remember to wear it snug and always on both shoulders- It’s cool, don’t worry.
